A tall, vigorous plant, Fragrant Plum produces lots of elegant buds that open into stately, delightfully fragrant blooms. Each rose is lavender near the centre and plum-purple along the perimeter. The large, double, 4" blooms produce 20–25 petals and are held aloft on long, clustered stems. Setting off these regal flowers is the plant's lush, deep green foliage. Its classic form, lovely colouring, heady scent and premium-length stems make it an ideal flower in the garden or a vase. While the colour brightens with some heat, this rose takes its best form when cool. Overall performance is improved with some afternoon shade.
