A novel, maroon-and-cream version of the famous landscape rose Iceberg, Burgundy Iceberg boasts terrific flower production, lovely buds, showy clusters of double flowers, glossy green foliage and nearly thornless stems. The deep purple-red colour of the 4" blooms intensifies with cool nights. The plant emits a pleasant, mild honey fragrance. It looks elegant when planted in rows, near the entrance of a home, in gardens where there is little growing space and even in containers. This tree rose shows very good disease resistance. Tree roses are created by grafting roses onto a central cane, and have a spray of rose blooms and foliage atop a central support.
